The Corner is an English language enclave and lounge for students,\u00a0staff and faculty. As a popular haunt for English enthusiasts, the Corner exudes a cyber caf\u00e9 atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Corner\u2019s role goes beyond its appeal to English language enthusiasts, however. Our aim is to serve the\u00a0entire student body, especially those who tend to shy away from English. Therefore, an important objective of\u00a0the Corner is to empower students, especially the non-enthusiasts with a self -actualized desire to learn.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-446\" src=\"http:\/\/wp.shu.edu.tw\/wp-ctt\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2016\/01\/15590542_912998068836391_1277686664122948344_n-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"384\" height=\"287\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wp.shu.edu.tw\/wp-ctt\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2016\/01\/15590542_912998068836391_1277686664122948344_n-1.jpg 960w, http:\/\/wp.shu.edu.tw\/wp-ctt\/uploads\/sites\/26\/2016\/01\/15590542_912998068836391_1277686664122948344_n-1-768x574.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 These efforts are reinforced in an atmosphere rich in encouragement with the hope that all\u00a0students will develop higher levels of self-confidence in their abilities to function in all English environments. Ultimately we hope that our shy students, like their enthusiastic counterparts, will\u00a0\u201cwant\u201d to be involved in the Corner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Once students want to learn and have the self-confidence to try, we support their efforts by\u00a0providing language learning resources that can lead to success. These include a video room, where\u00a0students can watch films with English subtitles, and three state-of-the-art computers from which\u00a0students can gain access to the Internet. Our aim is to ensure that no SHU student is left out of\u00a0today\u2019s international society because of an English language barrier.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div align=\"center\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/div>\n<div align=\"center\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\"><span class=\"style8\" style=\"color: #993366\">Corner\u5e0c\u671b\u63d0\u4f9b\u6240\u6709\u4e16\u65b0\u4eba\u66f4\u512a\u826f\u7684\u8207\u8a00\u5b78\u7fd2\u74b0\u5883,<\/span><\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\"><span class=\"style8\" style=\"color: #993366\">\u7279\u5225\u65bc2009\u5e74\u590f\u5929\u65a5\u8cc7\u6574\u5efaLanguage Corner,<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"center\"><span class=\"style8\" style=\"color: #993366\">\u671f\u4f7f\u540c\u5b78\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u8212\u9069\u800c\u8f15\u9b06\u7684\u6c1b\u570d\u4e2d\u63d0\u5347\u82f1\u8a9e\u80fd\u529b!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u5ea7\u843d\u65bc\u8a00<img 407px) 100vw, 407px\" \/>\u8ad6\u5ee3\u5834\u5c55\u89bd\u5ef3\u5167\u4e4b\u300c\u5916\u8a9e\u6c89\u6d78\u5712\u300d(Language Corner)\u5176\u8a2d\u8a08\u7406\u5ff5\u70ba\u4e00\u300c\u591a\u8a9e\u6587\u300d\u7684\u74b0\u5883\u53d6\u5176Total immersion in Languages\uff08\u6c89\u6d78\u65bc\u8a9e\u8a00\u4e2d\uff09\u7684\u542b\u610f\uff0c\u76ee\u7684\u5728\u5e0c\u671b\u85c9\u6b64\u63d0\u6607\u5b78\u751f\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5916\u570b\u8a9e\u8868\u9054\u80fd\u529b\u8207\u5b78\u7fd2\u8208\u8da3\uff0c\u9032\u5230\u5712\u5167\u7684\u4eba\u5fc5\u9808\u5168\u7a0b\u8aaa\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5916\u570b\u8a9e\u3002\u00a0\u5712\u5167\u5b89\u6392\u5916\u7c4d\u8001\u5e2b\u5b9a\u671f\u958b\u8a2d\u5404\u7a2e\u8a9e\u8a00\u5b78\u7fd2\u8ab2\u7a0b\uff0c 92\u5b78\u5e74\u5ea6\u5f15\u9032\u5916\u7c4d\u4ea4\u63db\u5b78\u751f\uff0c\u5229\u7528\u540c\u5115\u5b78\u7fd2\uff0c\u8a13\u7df4\u5b78\u751f\u53e3\u8a9e\u8868\u9054\uff0c\u589e\u52a0\u82f1\u8a9e\u6703\u8a71\u80fd\u529b\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u5712\u5167\u8a2d\u6709\u96fb\u8166\u5b78\u7fd2\u5e73\u53f0\uff0c\u53ef\u505a\u4e92\u52d5\u5f0f\u8a9e\u8a00\u5b78\u7fd2\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u4e0a\u82f1\u6587\u7db2\u7ad9\u4e4b\u7528\uff0c\u5927\u6709\u7db2\u5496\u7684\u6c23\u606f\u3002\u53e6\u5916\u4e26\u5373\u6642\u64ad\u653e\u82f1\u570b BBC \u65b0\u805e\u5ee3\u64ad\u7bc0\u76ee\uff0c\u570b\u5167\u5916\u901a\u4fd7\u7684\u5831\u7ae0\u96dc\u8a8c\u5982People , Far Eastern Economic Review, Taipei Times\u7b49\u4e5f\u90fd\u53ef\u4ee5\u5728\u6b64\u95b1\u89bd\uff0c\u8b93\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u5728\u5b78\u7fd2\u82f1\u8a9e\u7684\u540c\u6642\uff0c\u638c\u63e1\u4e16\u754c\u8108\u52d5\u3002\u6b64\u5916\uff0c\u9084\u8a2d\u6709\u8996\u807d\u5ba4\uff0c\u4f9b\u4f7f\u7528\u8005\u9810\u7d04\u89c0\u8cde\u82f1\u8a9e\u6559\u5b78\u7bc0\u76ee\u6216\u71b1\u9580\u96fb\u5f71\uff0c\u5728\u89c0\u8cde\u5f71\u7247\u6642\u4ee5\u82f1\u6587\u5b57\u5e55\u5448\u73fe\uff0c\u8f15\u9b06\u5b78\u82f1\u8a9e\u3002<\/p>\n<p>\u9032\u5165Language Corner\u5167\u5b9b\u5982\u81ea\u5df1\u5bb6\u4e2d\u5ba2\u5ef3\uff0c\u5b78\u751f\u5e38\u65bc\u8ab2\u9918\u6642\u9593\u99d0\u8db3\u6b47\u8173\uff0c3\u30015\u540c\u597d\u4e00\u8d77\u76f8\u4e92\u4ea4\u63db\u5fc3\u5f97\uff0c\u6c23\u6c1b\u878d\u6d3d\u548c\u8ae7\u3002<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>General
